Jam works great as a filling too, with red strawberry looking gory, while other jam colours such as green make it look like a slime sandwich.

For our next idea, not only will it look gruesome but you get one of your five a day. Create your own edible slime, it makes a great addition to a Halloween party - and it is much easier than you might think! One of our favourite slimey Halloween food ideas is to mash up some kiwi fruit, the bright green fruit mashes perfectly, the green interior looks like slime and it is tasty too!
